Welcome to BHFM 2012 and the Annual Meeting of the Estonian Society of Cardiology!
We would like to invite you to the 3rd Baltic Heart Failure Meeting which will be held in 5-6 October in Tallinn Estonia this year.
The conference venue is Swissotel Tallinn Conference Centre with the address: Tallinn 10145, Tornimäe Street 3. The conference centre is on the 6th floor.
The official language of BHFM is English, no simultaneous translation provided.
Registration Desk is open on the spot (6th floor):
- Friday, October 5, 14:00-20:00
- Saturday, October 6, 08:00-18:00
You'll receive your conference folder and name badge from the registration desk.
The provides EBAC certificate. You can collect your certificate on Saturday, October 6, 12:30, at the registration desk. The EBAC evaluation form which you will find in your conference folder should be completed and returned first.
The exhibition is open Saturday, October 6, 10:00-17:00. Companies can access the site to set up their exhibitions on Saturday, October 6, 9:00.
Buffet lunch and all coffee breaks are served in the conference foyer. Welcome reception is held in October 5, 17:30-19:00 in the conference foyer.
Conference dinner and concert is held in October 6, 19:00-22:00 in the House of the Blackheads
(Pikk Street 26, Tallinn). This is within walking distance and you
will find the directions on how to walk there in your conference
folder.
According to the weather statistics the daily average is in between 9-14 C and the night average is
3-9 C. It can be moderately windy, 5 m/s and rainy, so if possible
you should take umbrellas and clothe yourself weatherwise. Hotel
can provide some umbrellas as well.
If you have an accommodation in the Swissôtel, then please check yourself in at the the hotel
registration by providing your passport or identification card.
Please note, that conference materials are not provided in the
hotel registration, you should come to the 6th floor to collect
them. Depending on where your rooms are in the hotel (this is a
very high building) please take time to call the elevators to get
to the conference floor and to the sessions on time.
Transportation
If you are coming by bus, there is a bus stop for hotel guests just
in front of the hotel.
If you are coming by car, there is EuroPark in both sides of the
road underground, called Tornimäe Parkimismaja: 30 minutes is 1,2
euros, one day is 14 euros. You can pay in the ticket machine in
cash or by card at the ticket office (open Mon-Fri 08:00-19:00).
Note, that ticket office is closed on Saturdays. Cash payments are
open all the time.
Usually there are a lot of taxis just in front of the hotel and
around the corner in front of Stockmann Department Store. During
the peak hours (16.30-18.30 on Fridays) it could be really
difficult to find a taxi and the traffic is very jammed.
